Welcome to Tamaniwa workshop.

Tamaniwa workshop is a school of guitar-manufacturing, Specially the classical guitar.

Making your own guitar is not so difficult as you think .

Take 2 weeks' holiday, and come here, that's all.

Tamaniwa workhop is located in Yamagata prefecture, in the northern part of Japan. It takes 2 hours and 10 menutes by "Shinkansen" (new super express) from Tokyo.

You stay in a small house in the mountains for 15 days. Through the skylight of your room you can see the beautiful sky full of stars in summer.
And it is a great pleasure to pass time talking in front of a wood stove in winter.

Even if it is the first time that you have a planer in your hands, don't be afraid. I will give you good instructions to use tools. And in the case of need of help, you can use some power tools like a sander, a band-saw, a trimmer, etc.

The fee is ¥250.000 including the bed and board for two weeks.

In the "Showroom", some of the guitars made in this workshop are displayed. Each instrument has a or two pictures with data.
